Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out a watching brief on the excavation of geotechnical test pits and trial trenches, during April and May 2004, at the site of the proposed Victoria Business Park. No archaeological remains were found during the excavations; however the edges of a previously known, backfilled ironstone quarry were identified. A small quantity of Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery and worked flint, together with modern firebricks were recoved from the topsoil and subsoil.
