Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted excavation of the building footprint for the proposed Sixth Form block at Kingsbrook School, Deanshanger during January 2005. The application area lies in close proximity to a Roman villa, first identified in 1957 when building work began on the original school buildings. The exterior area of the villa was excavated concurrently with that of the Sixth form block. Excavation revealed cultivation trenches of possible Roman date.
