Abstract/Summary

A watching brief was maintained during groundworks for a new development. An extensive stone structure was revealed which appeared to be the remains of a modern garden terrace, probably related to the early twentieth century occupation of the site. Several undated pits were recorded during the digging of foundations, and these are thought to be modern garden planting features. One (machine shattered) sherd of late Medieval Pottersbury-type pottery was recovered from the modern topsoil.
