Abstract/Summary

Archaeological building recording was carried out on the cob coal barn at Guilsborough, Northamptonshire. The assessment comprised of a measured survey in order to assist in the future conservation of the structure. This identified two key stages of works needed to arrest the decline of the cob fabric, the first being the removal of soils which have built up against the base of walls followed by the instalment of improved drainage around the base of the building.
