Abstract/Summary

During refurbishment of shop front an earlier hand painted name board exposed. This reads 'CHAS PENN' with in boardering, smaller lettering 'SHOE MAKER' and 'SHOE REPAIRS & SUNDRIES' and the number '176'. 2 digital photos - copies attached. Local information is that Chas Penn's shop was last in use about 20/25 years ago.
