Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an archaeological strip, map and record, during the removal of topsoil and subsoil for the construction of sports pitches at Moulton College, Pitsford Road, Moulton, Northamptonshire. Archaeological remains consisting of two ditches, one possible furrow, an old land drain and a small pit were identified. Five sherds of probable Iron Age pottery were recovered from one of the ditches. A small number of residual flint artefacts, and a small quantity of residual medieval pottery was recovered from the topsoil.
