Abstract/Summary
This project design has been prepared by Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd (ASC) on behalf of the clients, Bellway Homes, as a specification for archaeological evaluation at the former British Timken Works, Main Road, Duston, Northamptonshire. The work has been required under the terms of Planning Policy Guidance Note 16 (PPG16), and had been defined in a brief (Flitcroft 2005) prepared on behalf of the local planning authority (LPA), Northampton Brough Council, by their archaeological advisor (AA), Northamptonshire County Council. The relevant planning application reference is N/2004/200.
