Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief during groundworks for the construction of a two-storey garage building with self-contained accommodation. Within the excavated foundation trenches, only natural clay was observed below modern deposits and topsoil. No archaeological deposits were recorded and no artefacts were recovered, and it is unlikely that any earlier deposits of features of any substantial depth could have lain in this area.
