Abstract/Summary
A desk-based assessment of Chesham House found that the building, thought to date from the late eighteenth century, has undergone significant changes since it was occupied by the Gotch family whose tenure covered almost 150 years. Extensive alterations have previously removed almost all internal fixtures and fittings and it is now difficult to determine how the property functioned as a family home and offices. It is not considered that the proposed alterations will have any impact on historic fabric.
