Abstract/Summary

In January 2011, an archaeological evaluation was carried out on land at Church Lane. The evaluation was carried out in response to the submission of a planning application for the erection of a single dwelling. The evaluation revealed a medieval pit, a medieval stone wall and pond or quarry pit, and a 17th century rubbish pit. The ground appears to have remained as either paddock or under cultivation for many years.
