Abstract/Summary
Polebrook Hall lies within Polebrook village close to Oundle. The hall comprises a variety of phases dating from the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries. A portion of the nineteenth-century additions to the hall was demolished in the mid twentieth century, and most of the remaining elements of the building have undergone various alterations. An archaeological watching brief was carried out during alterations which exposed certain elements of fabric previously concealed by decorative or structural finishes.
