Abstract/Summary
A watching brief carried out during the removal of two islands near the centre of a former rowing lake enclountered alluvial deposits overlain by a buried soil horizon and modern overburden. The buried soil contained sherds of late 19th - early 20th century pottery and fragments of glass.
