Abstract/Summary
There are no nationally designated monuments within the site. There is only a single HER site that lies within the development area, that of allotment gardens. Map and historic evidence suggests that most of the site belonged to St Andrew's Priory, probably since the 12th Century and was in agricultural use. By the late 18th century the site belonged to the Corporation of Northampton. The area remained under cultivation until the construction of Cliftonville Middle Schoool which was built in the mid 1960s.
