SMR Input Date (use for label searches) 18/04/2012

Abstract/Summary

The survey results suggest that there is little of archaeological significance within the footprint of the proposed turbines in areas 1, 2 and 4, other than the medieval ridge and furrow cultivation patterns. Likely archaeological features were resolved within areas 3 and 5. The probable ditches and pit in area 3 may comprise part of the prehistoric settlement and field system recorded to the east. A modern pipeline was also detected in area 3. Area 5 contained little of archaeological significance apart from traces of ridge and furrow, but these run parallel with a double-ditch cropmark, possibly a trackway.
