Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out a desk-based assessment of the historic resource for a 1.3km strip of land to the west of Upton, Northamptonshire. The site comprises agricultural land on the Upper Nene Valley flood plain that is not presently occupied by any large built structures. The documentary evidence indicates that the site has not been developed prior to this scheme being implemented, archaeological features are therefore likely to predate the documentary record.
