Abstract/Summary

Archaeological desk-based assessment on the site at Finedon Road, Irthlingborough revealed that until its occupation in 1913 by an omnibus depot there had been no development on the site apart from a lime kiln in the nineteenth century. The depot sheds remain, although in a much altered state, along with the subsequent, late twentieth century additions. An un-developed field to the east of the depot retains evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation.
