Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology (NA) was commissioned by CgMs Consulting, to conduct a magnetometer survey of land adjacent to Churchfield Quarry, Harley Way, Benefield, Northamptonshire. The survey identified a complex of ditched enclosures of probable Iron Age or Romano-British date, a possible extension to the earthworks of and putative rubble spread from Churchfield deserted medieval village.
