Abstract/Summary

In July 2012 an archaeological evaluation, comprising the excavation of one trial trench, was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology within the footprint of a proposed wind turbine at Grange Farm, Whittlebury, Northamptonshire. The evaluation was undertaken in support of a planning application for the proposed wind turbine. Topsoil and subsoil were recorded above the geological substrate. No features or deposits of archaeological origin were recorded in the trench and no finds were recovered. Two plough scars were recorded running parallel to the adjacent field boundary.
