Abstract/Summary

An archaeological wathcing brief was carried out in September 1995 during groundworks affecting part of the surving fishponds of the former Premonstratensian house of Sulby Abbey, now Sulby Farm, Northamptonshire (NGR: SP 6573 7996). The work arose from excavations by the British Waterways to replace a brick culvert which had originally been laid through a substantial earth bank thought to have been a dam serving the medieval fishponds.
