Abstract/Summary

An archaeological field evaluation was carried out by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) at 117 Harlestone Road, Dallington, Northampton, Northamptonshire (SP 73594 61479). The evaluation was carried out in advance of the redevelopment of the site, a former doctor's surgery and car park, for new housing. The site lies close to the Roman town of Duston and close to findspots of prehistoric artefacts. Three evaluation trenches were placed across the site within the proposed footprint of the new buildings. All were found to be negative for archaeological features and the results indicated that the area had been quite disturbed by previous development.
