Abstract/Summary

A programme of archaeological observation, investigation, recording, analysis and publication was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology on land adjacent to 1 Queen's Road, Towcester. Three trenches were excavated within the footprint of the development. No evidence relating to the Roman town defences was present and archaeological deposits were limited to late post medieval make-up layers and garden soils.
