Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology were commissioned by CgMs Consulting, acting on behalf of their clients G P Planning, to undertake an archaeological trial trench evaluation on arable farmland at 'Stonepits' quarry, Upper Benefield. Remnants of furrows from medieval ridge and furrow open field systems were present in trench 6. No other archaeological features were identified and no artefacts were recovered.
