Abstract/Summary

An archaeological observation, investigation and recording at the Northampton Innovation Centre, Green Street was undertaken. The excavation of five test pits was observed. Four were excavated to check for obstructions in advance of piling and the largest was excavated over the footprint of the lift pit to the maximum depth of construction. The ground was heavily disturbed by post medieval earthmoving and landscaping and as a result of this no pre-modern archaeological deposits were observed in the five locations excamined.
