Abstract/Summary

Headland Archaeology conducted a trial trench archaeological evaluation on land at Millennium Green, Bugbrooke, as part of a programme of archaeological evaluative works carried out in support of a planning application for the extension of an existing cemetery. Trial trenching revealed evidence for medieval (12th century) activity, consisting of a series of ditches, narrower linear features, a pit and a possible post-pit. It is thought that these may be the remains of the earlier village of Bugbrooke.
