Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at Moulton College, Moulton in advance of a planning application for a new athletics ground. The evaluation comprised a geophysical survey followed by trial trench excavation. Eleven trenches were excavated which investigated a series of magentic anomalies revealed by the geophysical survey as well as sampling the remaining area. The anomalies were shown to relate to geological variations, the remnants of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation and modern land drains. No significant archaeological features were present.
