Abstract/Summary

A former boot and shoe factory, incorporating a five bay house dating to the early 19th century and various factory buildings dating from the mid-19th century onwards. The house was origianlly a private school for boys, but was Claridge's factory from the mid-19th century. From 1969 until 2003 the buildings were part of the engineering firm Stromag.
