Author/Originator
Date/Year 2015

Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 4.2 hectares of grassland. A small number of features of probable and possible archaeological origin have been identified. Sub-circular anomalies, further linear anomalies and backfilled pits provide evidence of former settlement activity, while evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation indicates a more recent agricultural past. The remaining features are modern in origin and include scattered magnetic debris, disturbance from nearby ferrous objects, and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish.
