Abstract/Summary
CFA Archaeology Ltd carried out an archaeological strip map and record on a proposed new building on land at Hyatts Yard, Bethel Lane, Everdon. The Site lies in the historic core of the village and the 14th-century Grade I Church of St Mary lies nearby. The Scheduled Monument of the 17th-century packhorse bridge on Stubbs Road, Everdon Bridge lies roughly 500m to the east of the Site. Twenty-five other Grade II Listed Buildings lie within 500m of the Site, one is the K6 telephone kiosk by the church. The work involved monitoring the foundation trenches down to natural gravels. No archaeology was revealed.
