Abstract/Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during the groundworks for a residential development at Manor Farm. This was because the site was archaeologically sensitive, located within the historic core of the settlement, just south of the medieval parish church. The investigation revealed a sequence of natural and topsoil deposits. However, only the final few footings were excavated under archaeological observation due to late notification of the commencement of works.
