Abstract/Summary

Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Holland Build Limited to undertake a strip, map and record prior to construction of a new dwelling on land at the White House, 6 Little Lane in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. The site lies within the area with archaeological interest, with evidence of later prehistoric, Roman and medieval activity. The site was heavily disturbed by roots from the former garden and during the strip, map and record only a single very shallow linear was observed, likely to represent a former garden feature, sealed by a series of later levelling layers. The work indicates that the development will have a negligible impact upon the local archaeological resource.
