Abstract/Summary

An historic building survey (level 2) was undertaken by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) at The Old Barn, Merry Tom Lane, Brixworth, Northamptonshire on the 15th of January 2016. The survey studied an isolated field barn located to the south of Brixworth. The barn appears to have been constructed in the mid to late 19th century and is likely to be part of a satellite set of buildings associated with a nearby farm complex. There is some evidence of other now-demolished farm buildings which were attached to the barn in the in the late 19th and early 20th century. The report and archive will be deposited under Event Number ENN 108218
