Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in September 2015 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on land at Firs Farm, Griffin Road, Braybrooke, Northamptonshire (SP 76603 83755). The fieldwork was undertaken as part of a planning requirement in relation to proposals for the construction of a new residential development and farm buildings, and was carried out in order to assess the potential impact of the development on any archaeological remains that may be present. The archaeological evaluation, which involved a series of trial trenches, did not identify any archaeological features, and no artefacts were recovered. Faint ridge and furrow earthworks were detected in the field. No further work was required. The site archive will be deposited with Northamptonshire County Council under the accession number ENN108155.
