Abstract/Summary

Members of Northamptonshire Field Group undertook fieldwork in March 2016 to assess the current condition of a putative Bronze Age cairn or burial mound located in Wakerley Great Wood, a Forestry Commission woodland located in north Northamptonshire. It was concluded that the condition of the monument had not changed significantly since it was first recorded in the 1990s. This short report summarises the results of the assessment and of earlier fieldwork and provides suggestions for the future. Copies will be provided to the Forestry Commission along with Historic England and Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record (HER).
