Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6.5 hectares of pasture. The survey has not identified any anomalies of probable archaeological origin. Two weak linear anomalies may relate to archaeological ditches; however, they could equally relate to postmedieval field boundaries or ploughing. The detection of post-medieval ridge and furrow suggests that the area has a recent agricultural past. The remaining anomalies are modern in origin, relating to underground services, trackways, scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects, and fencing.
