Abstract/Summary

MOLA Northampton was commissioned by Armour Heritage to carry out an archaeological trial trench evaluation on land south of Hill Farm, Kislingbury, Northamptonshire, prior to construction of a proposed solar farm and associated development. Sixteen trenches were excavated and four trenches contained archaeological features. The evaluation identified a series of linear ditches and the location of hedged field boundaries depicted on 19th-century Ordnance Survey maps, and located during a previous phase of geophysical survey. None of the excavated features could be dated.
