Abstract/Summary

Archaeological attendance, inspection and recording was carried out in January 2017 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) on behalf of Mrs Defen Zhang on land at 116 London Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire. The fieldwork was undertaken to fulfil planning conditions for a residential development on land at 116 London Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire. The scheme of archaeological attendance and recording during groundworks was undertaken in order to mitigate the potential impact of the development on any such archaeological remains as might be present. The archaeological attendance, inspection and recording revealed no indications of archaeological activity across the general area of development, potentially in part due to the presence of modern buildings with substantial foundations. The site archive will be deposited with Northamptonshire County Council under the accession number ENN 108558.
