Abstract/Summary

Archaeological monitoring was undertaken by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) during groundworks associated with the construction of a bird of prey breeding centre at Bunkers Hill Farm, Pitsford, Boughton, Northamptonshire NGR: SP (76109 66613). The work was carried out on behalf of Bunkers Hill Ltd. and involved archaeological attendance for inspection and recording during these ground works. The scope of the works was not as extensive as originally intended and observation of trenching to receive a peripheral fence was the only excavation observed. None of the other planned works are to proceed. During observation of the trenching, no archaeological features were identified. The archive will be held by ULAS until further notice under the Event Reference ENN 108417.
