Abstract/Summary

MOLA was commissioned to undertake an earth resistance survey of 0.4ha of land to the east of Addington Road, Irthlingborough. A previous magnetometer survey and trial trench excavation had found evidence of medieval settlement in this area, and the purpose of the resistance survey was to provide further information about the layout and exten of the remains. Only one archaeological feature- most probably a metalled track surface- was clearly detected although some less distinct anomalies of possible archaeological relevance were also present in the data.
