Abstract/Summary
The excavation has revealed part of an unenclosed occupation site of Middle Iron Age date consisting of the western margins of a much larger site identified by geophysical survey and evaluation trenching. The three main components of the settlement consist of small and medium size enclosures, three roundhouses, and long linear features considered to be boundaries or main axis of the settlement. One crouched inhumation burial with no grave goods was also uncovered. The chronology of the site was supported by three radiocarbon dates of 367–165, 376–158 and 319–207 cal BC.
