Abstract/Summary

Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during the excavation of 25 pits for the insertion of electric cables via mole drilling along the green lane known as Roman Road on the eastern edge of Wollaston parish. Occasional patches rounded flint cobbles within build-up layers for the modern track were observed, but were considered more likely to be remnants of previous trackway surfaces than a Roman road. No demonstrably pre-post-medieval finds were found.
