Abstract/Summary

This document is an archaeological report for a former blacksmith’s workshop situated in the village of Spratton. The building was built prior to 1884 and was stripped of most assets in 2016 ready for sale. The building was previously owned by the property to the rear, the White Horse Inn, up until 1970 where it was seized as payment for unpaid work. The building is of very little architectural excellence however potential information can be obtained from details in the barn relating to its previous use.
