Abstract/Summary
Six areas were investigated using a combination of gradiometry, resistance and GPR. The various surveys and techniques undertaken have produced mixed results. Many of the areas were very small and the data complicated by modern ferrous material. Responses of interest have been noted within the motte although the results are confused by vegetation and earthworks. However, evidence for the entrance was identified by ground penetrating radar (GPR). The most clearly defined responses were identified within the garden of Bramblewood House where rectilinear high resistance responses indicating remains of the Manor House are clearly visible in the data.
