Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6 hectares of grassland and pastoral farmland. A former field boundary and evidence of extensive ridge and furrow cultivation across the survey indicates that the site was used for agriculture during the Medieval period. Small linear features may also be related to agriculture. A track-way, visible on aerial photography has been identified. The remaining features include a modern service such as a pipe or cable, magnetic disturbance related to nearby ferrous metal objects, and a number of magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish.
