Abstract/Summary

University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) carried out an archaeological evaluation on Land to the rear of 38, Huntingdon Road, Thrapston, Northamptonshire, on behalf of Mr. D and Mrs. E. Bletsoe. Three trenches, totalling 100.48²m were excavated to evaluate the area in advance of a proposed residential development in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework, Section 12: Conserving and Enhancing the Historic Environment. The archaeological work was carried out on the 4th of December 2018. Evidence for nineteenth century activity was recorded in one of the trenches, with an undated linear feature in another. The site archive will be held by ULAS under the Accession Number ENN109 286.
