Abstract/Summary

Trent & Peak Archaeology were commissioned by Trevor Jolley Architects on behalf of their clients to carry out archaeological monitoring and recording on land at The Laurels, Hartwell Road, Roade, Northamptonshire. Archaeological monitoring and recording was maintained during intrusive groundworks associated with the new development. Topsoil had largely been removed prior to archaeological monitoring. Building/demolition debris associated with recently demolished agricultural buildings was encountered across the site. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were uncovered during the course of investigation. Fieldwork was undertaken between the 20th June 2018 and 29th May 2019.
