Abstract/Summary

Kettering Station is statutorily listed at Grade II, the listing applies to the station building and all the platforms. Listed building consent was therefore required for alterations to the canopies at Platforms 2, 3 and 4 and was granted by Kettering Borough Council (ref. KET/2017/0650). An archaeological recording report was included as part of the planning conditions with the purpose of assessing the history and development of the sample bays. The results of the analysis, presented in this report, state that the structure was not modified extensively in the past and largely survives from the date of construction.
