Abstract/Summary

Wellingborough Station is statutorily listed at Grade II, the listing applies to the station building and all the platforms. Listed building consent was therefore required for alterations to the canopies at Platform 1 and was granted by Wellingborough Borough Council on 8 November 2017 (ref. WP/17/00528/LBC). A historic building recording report was included as part of the planning conditions with the purpose of assessing the history and development of the sample bay. The results of the analysis, presented in this report, state that the structure was not extensively modified in the past and largely survives unaltered from the date of construction.
