Abstract/Summary

During the summer of 2018 Highways England are intending to ndertake a scheme of drainage and resurfacing works along the length of the A5 (Watling Street) through the historic town of Towcester. This report has been prepared on behalf of the 'Historic Towcester Survey' and 'Towcester & District Local History Society' to advise the parties involved on the potential historic and archaeological site that may exist along this route. Details of the sites are set out in the accompanying table.
