Abstract/Summary

Archaeological Research Services Ltd was commissioned by Quinton House School to undertake an archaeological observation, investigation and recording exercise to monitor the groundworks associated with the construction of two all-weather cricket wickets and netting. The aim of the project was to determine the nature, date, character and form of any archaeologically significant features or deposits present within the proposed development area. The observation, investigation and recording was carried out during the groundworks phase of the development in accordance with a written scheme of investigation. The area of development was monitored between the 12th and 13th October 2020. During the course of the project service cables and made ground were observed. No archaeological finds or features were encountered due to the shallow nature of the groundworks.
