Abstract/Summary
Village Farm can be shown to have been part of the nearby Overstone Park estate from at least 1846 when almost the whole of the surviving farmhouse and farmyard complex was complete. Most of the other structures were constrcuted by 1884 and they survive today with relatively little alteration. The same family tenanted and then owned the farm from at least 1846 until the turn of the 21st century and this long occupation may have resulted in the relatively complete survival of the buildings-ensemble.
